Intact

Intact's purpose is to end non-therapeutic male infant circumcision. Intact works to this end through increased public awareness, legislation, and litigation. Intact also seeks to have male infant circumcision internationally recognized as a human rights violation. Intact makes a distinction between "circumcision" and the various practices involving ritual or religious cutting, and is not involved in the debate surrounding religious practices, including ritual or religious cutting.

The Association for Genital Integrity proposes a legal challenge to section 268 of the Criminal Code of Canada on the grounds that this section is discriminatory within the meaning of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The basis of the challenge would be that Section 268 of the Criminal Code—which prohibits all forms of female genital mutilation (FGM)—fails to protect males equally. The Association for Genital Integrity maintains the Court Challenge site which also has an extensive database of correspondence with Canadian authorities on the issue.

The Ridged Band
Specialized Sexual Tissue

NEW
Website

This new website provides scientific information about the anatomy and function of the “ridged band,” the name given recently by Dr. John R. Taylor to a unique part of the human male foreskin. Dr. Taylor is a Canadian medical researcher, anatomic pathologist, and the co-author of two anatomical studies of the foreskin; he and his colleagues first described the ridged band in the British Journal of Urology in 1996. Dr. Taylor is the co-author of this site, which is aimed at medical professionals, journalists, and the general public.
